STEM Playbook Partners with Horizon to Expand After‑School Sports and STEM Programs at Four Horizon Sites
For Immediate Release
April 30, 2026
Cleveland/Elyria, OH — STEM Playbook today announced a partnership with Horizon Education Centers to deliver sports-inspired STEM programming for students enrolled at four Horizon sites in Cleveland and Elyria.
The collaboration will bring hands‑on STEM learning integrated with athletics for students in grades K–8.
Programs will run through the end of the school year with community showcases to highlight the work in May.
STEM Playbook sessions combine physical activity, project‑based STEM challenges, and opportunities for career discovery.
“Combining play, movement, and real‑world STEM projects creates stronger engagement and builds skills students can use in school and beyond,” said Alyssa Briggs, President of STEM Playbook. “We’re excited to partner with Horizon to expand access to high‑quality after‑school experiences at these neighborhood sites.”
Melissa Snively, director of 21st Century Community Learning Centers, said the education company has been searching for programming that will allow students to be active while still learning.
“Horizon is proud to work with STEM Playbook to offer programs that support both mind and body,” said Snively.
“These activities help students develop confidence, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills in a fun, supportive environment.”
