CASW and STEM Playbook Launch Afterschool STEM Pilot Program in the Bronx
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW YORK — The Children’s Arts and Science Workshops (CASW) is partnering with STEM Playbook to pilot an afterschool program that will engage students in hands-on STEM learning and career discovery through movement-based, play-driven experiences.
Using STEM Playbook’s interactive curriculum (www.stemplaybook.org), the program connects STEM concepts to real-world applications and career pathways while keeping students active and engaged.
“CASW is committed to creating learning environments that spark curiosity and creativity,” said Yokasta Morales, executive director of CASW. “STEM Playbook offers an innovative approach that helps students build confidence in STEM while exploring future possibilities.”
Alyssa Briggs, president of STEM Playbook, said she and her team are happy to be bringing their programming to New York. Founded in 2025 in Cleveland, STEM Playbook has served 10,000 learners in Ohio and is now beginning to expand to other states.
“CASW shares our belief that the most powerful learning happens when students are engaged physically, creatively, and authentically. We’re thrilled to partner on an experience that brings STEM to life in ways that resonate with how students learn best,” said Briggs.
