Youngstown Students Make STEM Power Plays

This fall, Youngstown students are discovering that every game can be a gateway to the future.

Recently, students tested angles, measured distance, and adjusted strategies, while simultaneously uncovering the real science, technology, engineering, and math used by engineers, analysts, and innovators every day.

And the best part? Students are doing it together — working in teams to test, reflect, and cheer each other on. That collaboration is what builds leadership and project management skills that last far beyond the classroom.

So what did all that play really teach? Here’s how each part of the game connected to science, technology, engineering, and math.

These moments of play are shaping future engineers, analysts, and designers — one toss, one strategy, one discovery at a time.
